The Library Book
Abused and misused
"It's a little overdue."
Ripped then shipped,
Someplace completely new
Disrespected and neglected,
Flawed and imperfected
Its cover always lacking, (Yet always the latest fashion)
Its contents in disarray
Silently begging for compasion
Yet just a little goes a very long way

In my piece, "The Library Book", the book is meant to represent me. I think that a lot of people will be able to relate to this piece because a library books and people alike, no matter how torn and trampled upon they may be, can still be mended if they just get shown a little compassion. The scars caused by the abuse will still be there, however they can always be treated with love. Never forget that.
