Ode To Trees
February 16, 2016
They swing to and fro
Side to side.
Some may even fall,
But I will stand tall
Through the endless night
And create a magnificent show.
Bark made of steel
Immobilized in life.
Wind will blow hard,
But you must play your cards.
Be strong in the light,
Sturdy as a shield.
I look up to trees, literally,
And I climb so high
To see the farthest bird
And to touch the sky
To realize it was silly.
Be like a tree,
Or be just like me:
Be tall and free
And live happily
For eternity.
