Lenny McGavren's I am poem
I am a hopeful boy with a good future
I wonder if I will ever meet my birth father
I hear my dad in his room working.
I see my mom every other weekend.
I am a depressed boy with divorced parents.
I pretend that I am happy, but I can’t be.
I feel so many bottled up emotions.
I worry that I will stay this way.
I cry when I am alone.
I am a helpless little boy
I understand it’s not my fault
I say that it is my fault
I dream that they will get together, but they won’t
I hope that I will get over it
I am a depressed boy.
