A camera,
My birthday present
Arrived
I open the box
And see what looks like
Life
In a box,
From the press of the button
And the flash from the lens,
The picture popped out
Like a freight train.
I could hear the voices
Of the past
From the picture
The people began to climb
Outside of the picture.
They replayed the moment
Knowing
I'd never forget it.
A camera,
The tree of life
With a face,
Watching our every move.
Moments only occur once
And you can never
relive them
But to have
A reminder
Of the feeling
Of that moment
Brings us joy
