Wanting to play
Making me sit and stay
Growing big and strong
Responsibilities come and gone

Playing video games
Hanging out with friends
“You gotta unload the dishes again”
“I just wanna party on the weekends”

“Study for the SAT”
“Get a job”
“Or do you wanna take the ACT”
I feel my childhood being robbed

Have to grow up
The thought has me blown up
College process
The letters are endless

Growing up is hard
“Gotta study your flashcards”
Responsibilities
They feel like they’re infinit

This is a piece I wrote for a Poetry class at my school. It is about how a teenager has to go through all the stress about school, college, ACT, SAT, etc.
