The Stagnant Butterfly

January 11, 2016

Crisp and clear, was the air.
Dusk blurred the water and left it impaired.
The stillness of the atmosphere silenced nature with care.
Yet the butterfly flew unaware.

As the darkness diffused into the wind,
the light from the sun began to thin.
The butterfly could no longer see within.
Its vision had been robbed too quickly, everything caved in.

What did the harmless butterfly do,?
to the world that once beautifully grew?
Never did the sun rise again,
Nor the butterfly that flew among men.
