A Man on the Edge
A man on top
On the edge is where is he stands
Sees the gravel far below
Anticipating where he lands
Resolute in his decision
He takes a look back on his life
There has been nothing accomplished
Nothing seen save strife
He kicks a rock over the edge
Watch it reunite with the ground
As it disintegrates upon impact
He utters something profound
“Do I want the same fate,
To go before my time?
To obliterate into nothing
Before I have made my life sublime?”

I hope that people will find some sort of hope within the lines of my poem.
