Authority
My old teacher asked me
how stupid are we
my confidence was shattered
she took the only thing that mattered
I am an awful writer
she is a fantastic teacher
I’m sorry I fear authority
you just call it anxiety
but I was taught to act this way
I have nothing important to say
I am a phantom in my skin
my footsteps are a sin
I am riddled with guilt
for not trying to have my life built
I lack any form of bravery
and choose to submit to slavery
