13 Ways to Look at the Sea
The sea takes me away,
Leaving me with peace of mind,
All because of the harmonious tones.
The sea seems so independent,
With waves slowly crashing to shore,
And seashells quietly clanking against one another.
The sea reminds me of a satisfying movie that cheers you up,
Making you feel wholesome again,
Taking your stress away.
The sea is as light as a feather,
With water streaming out of your hands as soon as you try to grab it,
Like memories that you can never pause and replay again.
The sea is filled with creatures like us,
Who could be struggling to survive,
But each animal is so ecstatic to just be swimming.
The sea seems so unreal,
Like the way I felt when my world stopped for quite a while,
It seems so vivid.
The sea reminds me of you.
There is some good,
And also so much bad.
The sea can be wicked,
Carrying itself with sharks infested in it,
Or tidal waves the size of a six story building.
The sea can be so hallucinating,
Causing all your problems to go away,
But reappearing when you leave the jeti.
The sea is like something out of book,
Something so alluring,
But so monotonous, at the same time.
The sea needs to know when to calm down,
It needs to be reassured at every moment,
And it needs to know that everyone’s eyes are on her.
The sea can not predict much,
For as long as you stare at it,
Nothing will come out of that moment.
The sea is another name for myself,
Someone who can be so significantly perplexed at times,
But can also lift her spirit, and find her way out of the rough spots.
Just like a tidal wave,
Just like seashells clanking together,
Just like the sea.
