"I Am From Poem"
I am from moving trucks
With sad goodbyes and hello tears,
From never seeing someone to always seeing another
I am from packing boxes,
To unpacking luggage
I am from hidden tears
Not allowed to be shown
To feeling weak,
With “stop crying, be strong” and
“everything always has an end”
I am from making friends
From thinking they’ll be forever,
To find that they were never planning to stay
I am from a restarted life
From boxes here and moving trucks there
A baby not just one but two
From a new state,
A new house,
A new school
I am from guilt,
leaving behind a new sister
From not wanting to leave behind my new brother
I am from not seeing my friends
Without family to keep me sane
I am from moving trucks
With boxes here and there
From never losing hope
I am from finally coming home again
