Favorite Quote:
"I think about life, and I think about death, and neither one particularly appeals to me," - Morrissey.

A fond gaze pierces through her blatant lies,
She’ll never blend with the other faces,
For her desperation has been gracious,
A relation the strain of time defies.

She’ll never blend with the other faces,
The brief glimpse of trust she feigned, I despise,
Their honesty has cowered in disguise,
For her desperation has been gracious.

The brief glimpse of trust she feigned, I despise,
Mirth keeping us shackled, she erases,
Space I stole in her heart, she replaces
Their honesty has cowered in disguise.

Mirth keeping us shackled, she erases,
We pitifully clutch our withered ties,
For I’ll never move past her, I surmise,
Space I stole in her heart, she replaces.

This is a pantoum I wrote in 8th grade about one of my closest friends, from 2nd grade. We spent years bonding and sharing joys and hardships, such as the death of her younger sister and my experience wth bullying, or being accepted into selective enrollment schools and fulfilling our goals, but eventually, our social divisions and my limitations, physically and emotionally, resulted in her finding little need for my company, and we parted ways. Though we never quite admitted it. It just happened.
