Grief
Permit me to tell you about grief,
For I have felt it so many times.
When I watched my father board the flight to Iraq,
Not knowing if or when he would return.
 Sitting through a friends funeral,
 Knowing she was gone forever.
But the feeling of grief I remember most
Was watching my brother breathing on life support
And seeing the plug being pulled.
 So long brother,
 I love and miss you.
