Sanity
I sit in the bathtub
Blank faced
Watching my sanity swirl down the plughole
The coffee stains on the side of the tub
A bitter reminder of all of the nostalgia-filled evening heretofore
Where angst takes over my system
Schizophrenia running through my veins
And leaking out onto the base of the tub
Through wounds that do not heal with time
My body being consumed by horripilation
As I listen to the tangle of orphaned guitar strings weeping in the corner
The bleeding pages of a book tattooing my dampened skin
Submerging me in the stories of people whom have the brains of tulips
