My Mask
I'm the monster behind the mask.
I do many things at task, safe and sound I go all around causing pain like a strain.
If you look into my eyes all you'll see, an empty stream of broken dreams.
If I see inside the mask, what will I see.?
I'll see the monster that rest in me.
Day in day out the monster goes about, living through me as far as I can see.
Not a day goes by when I'm not dying inside.
Wishing and hoping for the best, but the truth lies when I rest.
Inside my head with closed eyes all I see is a monster that'll rise.
Frozen and broken I stand still as i feel the chill going down.
I open my eyes to only realize I survived another hell of a night.
Because in the dark all you'll hear is my monster bark and strike fear.
