REMEMBER
The stockings were hung
The Christmas tree lit
Kids building houses
From gingerbread kits
Jingle bells ringing
Around through the house
Cookies being baked
By wives and their spouse
All this happening
On one special night
Everyone ready
For tomorrow's delight
The chimney is off
The cookies are out
Father Christmas
Is coming without doubt
With this busyness
Everyone forgot
The one who was born
The one who had taught
He is the reason
We celebrate now
And yet we forget
All of this somehow
Born in a manger
Wore a crown of thorns
Sacrificed his life
To make us reborn
Defeated the cross
And rose from the dead
Created new life
Through the blood He shed
So when hanging lights
And parties have begun
Remember the time
The King came and won
