Guns for Hands
That thing at the end of your arm,
your claw, the extent of your reach, your weapon.
It resembles your protection, your gun, holstered around your heart.
Thumb for trigger, index and middle fingers the barrel,
as your body wrenches its fingers into position
it is possible to see the rest of the gun.
It’s body your forearm,
its ammunition, your actions.
The stock your bicep.
The scope of its damage is yet to be known.
Like a steel beam unwavering, outstretched.
Sights locked onto anyone in firing range.
