The great cranial lake atop my neck
Hold yin yang fish of opposite scaled fleck
Round and round Go these koi,
One of slate woe-be-gone
The other of a bright burst of orange joy.

Often have I experimented the feeding of these fish.
The one of grey becomes greedy as it freezes.
The bright streak starves against my wish.
But it holds patience as the ice heats and eases.

At first sign of life, it breaks surface.
Gorges it's deprived soul with divine purpose.
Time will tell and train
These two of equal and opposite distain
Of how one solitary pond can sustain
A pair balanced such as sun and rain.

In light of recently losing a friend to suicide, it's made me become aware of my own emotions especially the hard ones.
