In seconds, it was all me
on the corner of Central & Ida
Dad was rushed to the E.R.
just to depart himself tomorrow
never thought my dad would one day be my angel.
It was all vivid to me,
a huge blur of exhaustion.
We always went to the hospital to see him
but this time it was different.
He wasn't there long enough for us to wait for
visiting hours to arrive.
