Snow Day
The snow was bright and white, on the cold dark winters night. The Christmas lights were hung as the carolers had just sung.
The children were tucked in, it was Christmas eve once again.
Into the wind a soft jingling, coming from the roof. Santa Claus went down the chimney with a quick and magic poof!
He left the children gifts, and the tree was still lit. The reindeers stood on the roof, as they were told by Santa himself to sit.
He ate yet another two cookies, and a glass of milk. He would soon be taken by the reindeer to the town of Silk.
With the tap of his nose he was off again. Off into the cold midnight wind.

I am in the seventh grade and I have always loved to write poems and I love Christmas eve and the anticipation in the children as they wait on Santa to come and bring them gifts.
