Galaxies Above Rivers
She smokes flowers like cigarettes,
She plays memories like old cassettes.
She lives to remember, dies to forget.
She wants to let go of all regrets.
She dreams to fly,
To elude the river that she cried.
They will ask why, to which she will reply,
“All I want to say to this world is goodbye.”
So she bathes among galaxies,
To wash away her anxiety.
She finds new meaning in mortality,
But leaves behind all reality.
