X Marks The Spot
X marks the spot where I met you
in the center of a church, in the middlemost pew.
And I walked out that building with my mind still quite boggled
because I was seeing life through a new pair of goggles.
X marks my soul, which I relented to your hand,
still amazed there was a savior who could truly understand. And you've protected me always, even in dark times.
When I felt myself slipping, you proclaimed, “You are mine.”
X marks the spot where I will someday die.
On that day, I'll lay on my deathbed, barely alive.
When my last breath is taken, I will see your face
and my soul will return to my savior's embrace.
