Black Diamond
I start at the bottom, gazing to the top.
I hop on the lift, and hope it doesn’t drop.
It goes high up, off the ground.
The lift runs fast, the top is inbound.
I’ve reached the top, I gaze at the scene.
There are many skiers here just like me.
I start to speed up , pushing with my poles,
I reach a steep incline, and speed is my goal.
I’m racing down the mountain, in control of my pace.
I hit a large bump, and fall on my face.
The freezing cold snow is in my gloves,
there are people laughing on the lift above.
But I keep going, and finish my run
because even if you fall, skiing is fun.
