I could watch you sleep for hours.
Face of an angel -
breath like soft wind.
Hiding your satin brown eyes.
Lids of lead-
lashes like feathers.
You sleep so heavily tonight.
Dreams of eternity-
vivid like charcoal sketches.
I will not wake you now.
Eyes of a cat-
sharp like a razor.
Watching like lovers do.

set it down on land, howling

I love this poem. I love how some of the words are complementory of love, like angel, dreams, eternity, feathers, etc. Yet some sound like complete antonyms: charcoal, razor, hiding. It makes me wonder what kind of love this actually is.
