Hearts shall now break...
Seeing young smiles
Smiles ear-to-ear
Ear can hear laughter
Laughter calls joy near.
Imagine those eyes,
Those eyes filled with tears;
Tears scarlet crying 'help'
Help captured by fears.
Seeing those people,
People un-entertained.
Entertained to stand watch,
Watch the scarlet rain.
Seeing smiles gone missing.
Missing laughter and faces.
Faces now hidden meanings,
Meanings of rising and chases.
Imagine the innocence,
Innocence in notion,
Notion of loving world,
World losing to erosion.
Watching Venus now love,
Love and thirst-quencher Mars,
Mars has left us as so
So water's with the stars?
Wanting water, travel far----
Far, though must follow urban rules.
Rules of order, scarlet benefit.
Benefit of 'human' duels.
Respect now neglect, modern time
Time to begin, push Sun away.
Away to invite: looming shadows-
Shadows that will make you haze away.
Throwing lead gunshots.
Gunshots, not roses
Roses have thorns, true,
True through 'joy' doses.
See the wine-stained sky, cubes of ice;
Ice made of fire, choking the Moon;
Moon shimmering dimly, as if to call,
Call to the Trees below, 'time to leave soon'.
Ask the lead, ask the Moon.
Moon shall tell you the real Truth,
Truth can hide, but Truth can't break.
Break, might be the innocent youth.
Question our beliefs,
Beliefs all at stake
Stake through our hearts,
Hearts now shall break...

My poem "Hearts shall now break..." is a poem that is centered around 'World Cruelty'. Everyday we see people stepping over each other to get ahead, crimes, kidnappings, murders happening and we all go on like it's nothing. My poem shows what people can't cover up with tape or change with scissors and glue. I hope that Teen Ink's readers take away the message of how we are meant to help each other, and that our actions are only going to come right back at us and the generations after.
