Observation and memory poem
Memory poem
Football my first time
I remember that’s all i wanted to try.
My first year was so much fun
I wasn’t expecting to run
7th grade football was the best
I remember after the first day I was a mess
putting on my helmet was a new thing
and when you’re on the field you can’t think of anything
I remember the pre-game jitters before a game
I still get them till this day
you can’t be nervous when you’re out on the field
you have to live free without a feel
I remember the first time I hit somebody
I had this rush that I didn’t want to leave my body
I remember the first time I played a game
I remember thinking that I don’t want it to change
I keep playing this sport because I love the energy
this sport is filled with intensity
I love this sport and that’s never going to change
football is here to stay
I don’t think i’ll find a day in which I hate
Football
Observation poem
the sky is blue
the weather might feel different to you
the cool breeze flows through the air
it brushes against my skin with care
the green grass is rough
but it is tough
the shade under the tree feels great
it's where you’d wanna take someone on a date
the sky is clear I can’t find a cloud
It’s so peaceful you can’t hear a sound
the cricket chirps and makes its noise
this is the feeling i felt as a little boy
the world is so peaceful when you’re alone
It just makes you think of how you’ve grown
I can be free out here and just be me
you can observe the nest made by the bees
you’re mind goes crazy with all the thoughts
that the outside world made you have these thoughts
and as you get up to leave
you see the change in all the leaves
as you leave and say goodbye
you’ll never forget outside.
