Memory Poem

Took a trip with my family to Six Flags,
knowing not to forget any of my bags
When I saw one of the rides, I ran,
but read the sign, it said Superman
I was scared when I saw the first round-a-bout,
then I shivered when I heard all of the kids shout
I stepped up to the wet, soggy stairway,
as if it was another bright day
When I saw the short line,
it sent a chill through my spine,
I was nervous, but I was only nine
Waiting in line with my cousin,
My goosebumps started buzzin'
He told me not to worry,
but my thoughts were already buried
So I sat in a seat,
shaken like a deadbeat
I started to really whine,
He told me it was gonna be fine
Before I knew it, the ride finished,
and my worrying diminished

Litany Poem

I’m going home
to the big city, the big lights
I’m going to great views
to great heights
I'm going to the lake house
on some nice routes
I'm going to sports bars
from the stars,
I'm going to Soldier Field,
where the Bears seal the deal
I'm going to the Gas Station,
to solve the situation
I'm going to UNOs,
to say hi to Bruno
I'm going to Chicago,
in a murcielago

My english teacher told me to post the poems here. They were also good stories and thoughts in my head that I could use to make these poems.
