This piece of poetry was written on political aspects. It was a statement by the author stating that "in modern society there is no one you could trust". The author was methaphorically relating chess to government. The author was trying make the audience think about what is going on in the world these days and to think of how to creat a difference. These days we are so tuned to the disasters that happen that we tend to ignore them.The author was trying to spark awareness in the audience.
