Parasailing Paradise
Before I could comprehend what was happening,
I was launched off the boat, in the air, three hundred feet
hanging by a rainbow colored parachute
in full bloom above my head.
Hearing the whistle of the air against my ears,
the fresh crisp breeze fest nice and cool against my skin.
My feet dangled down feeling like I was walking on air.
Looking at the boat I was connected to it by a single rope,
that seemed as thin as a human hair.
I was so terrified like I might fall back down to Earth,
but at the same time I would never turn down this opportunity.
Drifting through the sky,
by what appears to be a giant balloon that could pop any minute.
People swimming in the ocean and tanning on the beaches,
appeared like tiny ants.
It was so quiet being up in the air,
leaving me hearing my own thoughts inside my head.
The boat slowly came to a stop along with me.
I watched as the ocean kept getting bigger and bigger underneath my feet and toes,
as I gradually drifting down.
Then eventually halting on the boat.
Nothing seemed more peaceful than parasailing.
