A beautiful Saturday afternoon,
Clouds drifting slowly,
Millions of boats,
on Big Lake.
In the surrounding sand
Kids building messy sand castles
and
Burying legs and arms in the sand

Waiting to launch our boat,
dreaming about...

Waves, Waves, Waves
Waves are all around the water
Like cereal in a bowl
Tubing, is what I’m looking forward to
Boys and girls screaming like they were in a haunted house
You could hear boat motors running
Until…
A big BOOM
I was driving
My dad on the tube
But nobody knew what happened
Until smoke started to arise from the back
The engine to our boat had exploded
Then I knew to rotate the key off

Thankfully a boat can tow other boats
A man with a big white beard
Dressed in all black
In a big blue boat
Came to the rescue
Hooked our boat up
Speeded us to the drop off
Said our thank you's
And goodbyes
What a beautiful day at the beach

That day I feared for my life
I have definitely had better days
