Affection in Reverse
Affection is a dangerous game,
really, more of a curse.
for when the other isolates completely,
this is Affection in reverse.
What is affection in reverse you ask?
It's really a simple thing,
Though the loss of love knows no bounds,
To all the sadness it will bring.
Caring deeply for someone,
In the moment, is simply the best.
But when that care is not reciprocated,
It's like someone stabbed you in the chest.
And it's a pain I cannot discuss.
For I'm afraid that if I do,
It will be the end for us.
So please, my dear,
Dont express affection in reverse.
Affection is a dangerous game,
A beautifully Tragic curse.
