Who are you.
Who are you, who are you,
There's little I can do,
About these three dreaded words,
That I wish were unheard.
When we learned you were sick,
Mother threw a huge fit.
You got the disease,
That makes my blood freeze.
They say you'll forget,
All the people you hold dear.
Your mind will reset,
A thought that fills me with fear.
But there are days where you'll remember,
Every family member,
These days are the best,
More precious than a gold filled treasure chest.
The disease is progressing,
A fact quite distressing.
Even when I want you to stay,
You are slowly slipping away.
But although it seems far,
I dream of a day,
When you can finally say,
I know who you are.
