Petals Doomed to Fall
Petals fall,
Or so they say
What would happened if they flew away?
Are petals doomed to fall?
Or can the breeze save them?
Oh, what would it mean if a petal could be free of such a fate?
But alas,
All petals are doomed to fall
If they didn't,
Would their beautiful life mean anything at all?

This is by far one of my favorite pieces that I have made. This one was greatly influenced by " Because I Could Not Stop for Death." By Emily Dickinson. It was really beautiful, and somehow I found myself writing a poem about petals falling. What it means can depend on the reader, but of course there was and original meaning. It is saying something I very much believe in. If you do not die you do not live. If it was eternal it doesn't seem as special, wouldn't you agree?
I hope people read this and reflect. Possibly they will learn instead of fearing the end they should embrace it. For it is just nature, and it makes life so much more breath taking. Yes yes, I noticed my choice of words on that last line.
I hope you see the beauty in the ever so seemingly short life we have after reading this poem of mine.
