...Him...
Our eyes meet
And in that second
I see everything
Pink clouds along a sunset
White sand meeting foam and water
A bird riding the wind to home
His eyes linger a second longer
As he lets me see what Heaven looks like
What angels see
White snowflakesfalling to their friends
Golden halos hovering
Wings ever so white
Fluttering every time he blinks
He smailes at me
His teeth without a flaw
They hold back his laughter
I hear the rustle of leaves land on the ground
Water dripping from ice as the sun melts away the cold
And the crackling of fire as it flickerws out
He couldnt hold it back any more
Laughter more joyous than ever before
Sends chills down my spine
Like tree roots trying to touch the center of the earth
A single butterfly trying to touch the sky
And in that moment
When my cheeks are as red as a rose
And I cant help but smile
He turns and walks away without a glance back
