Fallen Halo
Fallen girl is porcelain
Wondering how long she will last
Whispering to the empty room
She cries a tear of glass
Salt stings in open wounds
Crystal scratches face
Haunted eyes are careful spies
Put demons in their place
Little girl wore an ugly necklace
Decorated with black tattoos
Little boy learned love's a game
His mom continues to lose
High thick walls
Innocents blow them away
She's the first person
They realize will stay
Fallen angel is their rock
Little do they know
The only mark of her seams
Little red rips hide low
Sleepless nights end restless days
All words lead to sorrow
There is no way of forgetting how
No love lives in tommorrow
She came to teach a lesson
Always showing acceptance and love
But the world is heavy and dark and deep
Even for one from above
Her crowning glory was her innocence
Her spirit drew many in
She was much too light for gravity
She could not bypass sin
On the weighted day I saw
To her life showed no favor
Tainted, lying in a pool of veneer
There lay her fallen halo
