Nightmare

I am living a nightmare
Life has become so unfair
All alone I cry and weep
Toss and turn, there is no sleep
I've never experienced sweet dreams
I'm being punished it would seem
Debris of pain I inhale
I can't get up, have I failed?
I am cast out from my own
The darkness is now my home
Failure has blocked every escape
I pray that God grants a change of fate
To this nightmare there is no end
I'm chosen to be condemned
My life is burning on a stake
This nightmare is no mistake
