You can spend your time either making your cover look good, or by making your pages worth reading.

They see  her as the shy one

with no potential, no real fate.

The one who doen't need attention,

love, friends, or any dates.

The one who must be lonely,

because she's different from the rest.

Can't they see she needs to be loved,

to feel comfort, to feel blesed.

She is more like a hidden treasure,

waiting to be found.

Wanting someone to find that within her was beauty,

that was genuine and lets her stick out from the crowd.

She is the needle, you look for in a haystack.

Lost but can be discoverd.

If only someone would give it a try,

that it's true beauty that would be uncovered.

They see HIM as the nerdy one,

allways playing games or on his phone.

Ignoreing the world around him,

because he is scared to realize he's alone.

The one who should be smart,

and good at everything.

Such stress is overwhelming,

he is just one human being.

A book judged by his cover,

never read fully from front to back.

Why can't they see theres more to him,

then what he carries in his pack.

The halls can har the wispers,

people picking, poking, pinching.

But his inner indness is,

what keeps his fists from clinching.

Both needing someone who knows them inside and out,

and gets them through all the hardships,

because THAT'S what friendships all about.

The author's comments:

I was inspired to write this becasue too often these days people only care what you look like. And for people who dont "fit" todays totally insane standards, it can be hard to find someone who knows what your feeling. I hope that this poem can show that behind the physical appearence of a person, there is a heart, a soul...and maybe even your destined to be bestfriend, or future spouse. And that you should come to love everyone. <3
