Would you promise not to laugh
Would you promise not to sigh?
Or tell my secrets to another
Or ask me to share more
Because it’s been really hard
So hard, to get this far

Even if I thought it good, it wasn’t even that
Great.
That I should ¨add more details¨
Or ¨explain… explain¨
And would you tell me if I thought it lacked
Thats it’s alright if it’s not good
You can have a ¨s***ty draft¨

If I told you a story, would you ask me how I feel?
Would you ask me if it’s true,
Would you ask me if it’s real?
Would you even be able to decipher,
The secrets from the lies?
Would you even be able to give me some advice
Or help me when I’m down,
Or stop me when I cry?

If I wrote this down on paper,
With some lead and and an eraser,
If I told you not to read it,
But my face is another picture...
If I wrote you that you should help,
But I throw it in the trash...
Or if I told that I’m fine,
But in reality I’m really unfortunately…

If I told you story and I wrote my name on it
Would you still keep it anonymous?
Would you hide it in your closet?
Would you tell me that you’ll remember it?
And you would keep it in your thoughts?
Do you think it’d make me happy
When I think back on my
Memories?

If I told you a story and I said it was the end
Would you encourage me to continue,
Maybe try to be a friend?
Maybe listen to my banter?
Maybe try to understand?
Maybe try to even whisper good,
Or try to hold my hand?

If I told you a story and I told you this was it
Would you think about all I’ve said,
And question all of it?
