You can’t see me
because I don't want you to see

If you did you would judge
and all you would see me as was sludge

You would avoid me at all cost
and everything we had would be lost

You would hate and despise
And you would know everything you saw before was a lie

And it’s not just you
Everyone would hate me too

If people saw me I would be alone
I would wither and die like a flower refusing to grow

That is why I wear a mask on the outside
so no one can see what’s on the inside

No one sees my troubles or pain
No one sees what bonds me like a chain

No one sees my breakdowns or inner struggles
or what emotions I have to juggle

What people see on the outside is a mask with a fake smile
that doesn't look like their troubles have piled

But in my heart the troubles are there
and they seem to grow everywhere

In my mind, my soul, and eyes
growing and growing so it can't ever die

I can never remove this mask
I don't want my sorrow to be basked

You can’t see me
all you see is the mask in front of me.
