Pokemon
Every since I was little I have been possessed with Pokemon. I was about eight years old when I received my first Pokemon video game. I played it to my heart’s content. Nothing enlightened more than seeing it for the first time as my friend was playing it on his Gameboy. Shortly after being enlightened I immediately convinced my mom to buy me one. I constantly kept playing it until it started becoming a problem. It severely frustrated my parents, because I would no longer give them my full attention, which was directed to adventuring in the realm of Pokemon. It wasn’t until I reached the age of 11 that I finally grew out of my obsession. Ever since this experience, I have been fascinated by how video games are able to captivate people’s attention into a complete addiction. It is the only thing I can think of besides gambling, that can emotionally take over you. I still enjoy playing video games time to time, but I will most likely never reach the same level of joy that I reached playing Pokemon.
