Worlds, worlds, worlds,

away.

How I wish to be

worlds away.

Drawers that my bodies

hold,

flood with water & the inevitable

molds.

Steps up my back,

branches out my head.

Stay silent?

No.

I’ll tell my secrets instead.

Stuck thousands and thousands

away.,

Some worlds away from

thee.;

Caged by the currents of the trembling

sea.

Worlds, worlds, worlds

away;

thousands of leagues under the

sea

This is an ekphrastic poem about two art pieces by Salvador Dali. I hope for people to feel a sense of longing and sorrow from this piece, but also a feeling of hope.
