a toxic friend
I don’t know what a best friend is,
I thought I had one,
but it turns out I was wrong.
I was first to defend you in and out of school,
I hung out with you,
even if that meant I lost other friends.
from day one,
after everything I did,
you took advantage of me.
yet you barely even considered me a friend.
I was so happy to have you in my life,
but I was blind...
I trusted you,
and you stabbed me in the back.
Now you've kicked me out of your life,
and I'm just someone you go to school with.
But you kicked out the one person who loved you for you.
So is this what 'Best friends' do?
because if it is,
I would rather not have one.
