I saw the light fade from the sky
On my mouth there was a sigh
My love where have you gone?
Are you there in the great beyond?
With you I could fly
The first few nights I sat alone to cry
Because I knew this was the last goodbye
My heart ached for so long
I saw the light fade from the sky
I stand here ready to lie
Telling myself, my family, my friends you cannot die
Echoing through my mind is our song
Our love was supposed to be lifelong
Where is the love you were supposed to supply?
