Tides
I am the night sky
My moon makes his tides flow
This game
Is give and take
Not one without the other
But he wants
Rogue waves
While I am already sorting through
His pollution
He is the ocean
Disillusioning and endless
He is vastly unknown
Most people only dip their toes in
Retract quickly
Gasping
But I am the night sky
I do not fear frostbite
Or underwater creatures
Dear Ocean
I’ll devour you
Like the sun to the horizon
Be patient
There are hurricanes to settle
I will go west
And I beg you to flow easily
Follow the North Star
And we will meet again
At the perigee
