In Between
Jumbled words flow threw my mind
Songs from god knows who make dark melodies.
Random lines race in front of my eyes,
Blocking the thoughts I want.
My brain like a broken record,
Replaying the same lines.
The dark melodies putting me to sleep into a world of dark bliss.
Confronting my fears and listening with all ears
I know that I am not alone
Running from whatever is chasing me,
Never looking back afraid to trip.
I just want to get away from this craziness, to leave me be
Looking at the people I wish existed in the world in my dreams
Finally finding some peace
I begin to wake and groan
“Please just let me sleep”
