O, that this too too decadent gelato would melt
Thaw and amount itself into a puddle!
Or that the Freezer had not fix’d
His scoop mixed both flavours! O God! God!
How gross, beastly, sickening, and distasteful,
Seem to me all the flavours of this parlor!
Ugh! No! ‘tis an expired tub,
That buries in the freezer; tubs sticky and dripping on the counter
Describes it barely. That it should come to this!
But twenty minutes gone: no, not so much, not twenty:
So skillful a scooper; that was, to this,
Ben and Jerry’s to a Carvel; so delightful to my tastebuds
That it might not allow the toppings of sundaes
Visit it’s bistro too much. Sorbet and milkshakes!
Must I recall? why, it would soften in my mouth,
As if increase of warmth had developed
By what it fueled on: and yet, within a minute-
Let me not reminisce on’t- Fade, thy name is sherbert!-
A light hour, or ere those tubs were foul
With which it pursue’d my barren tongue’s buds,

Me and my best friend Gabby wrote this parody of Hamelt's Soliloquy "O That This Too Solid Flesh Would Melt" for a class project. We decided to write our parody about something decadent yet simple. Hopefully you can tell what it is!
