Coffee
Like people,
I start off plain.
The average
“cup of joe”
Bitter taste.
Some enjoy that part of me;
Others, not so much.
They try to change me,
to morph me
into their desired taste.
Add to me,
make me sweeter,
just to make me
likable.
Just so they can taste
the stimulant rush I give.
Just to give them
a legal high.
Then it starts,
the addiction.
Who is in control
of morphing
someone now?
