Senses of Guilt
Guilt is a shaky feeling.
It crawls under your fingernails.
It travels through your veins.
It pokes holes into your conscious.
And, it may even feed poison to the heart.
Guilt smells strange.
It sweats enough to fill the Caribbean.
It reeks of bones and flesh.
It is a silent, but deadly, pass of gas.
And, it may even burn ashes and smoke.
Guilt sounds loud and mute.
It rings of screaming bells through the auditory canal.
It whispers the voices of victims and harmed ones.
It is screaming of a mob polarized in their beliefs.
And, it may even fill the air of absolute silence.
Guilt looks like a mess.
It is a face stained of desserts.
It is boxed up with bright yellow caution tape.
It is shattered glass all over a floor.
And, it may even be a track of footsteps.
Guilt feels like a horror movie.
It is a place one cannot escape.
It is the alarmed state of uncertainty.
It is the fear of consequences.
And, It may even, ironically bring on pleasure or joy.
