Music
He’s strong and silent
And never lets me run
Away from how I’m feeling
While still managing to be fun.
He smirks and laughs with me,
Releasing every inch of stress
And pulls me to him closely
To hear the pounding in his chest.
The beat is steady, calming, and smooth
Making me forget anything that’s been done—
Well, it’s calming one moment
And, in the next, it’s gone.
He pushes me away from him
While staying very near.
There’s just enough distance
For me to really hear
The sounds I’d been avoiding—
Heartache, pain, and sorrow—
But he helps me see
There’ll be a better tomorrow.
In his arms,
Perfectly safe and sound,
I can clearly think
With no one else around.
He calms me, comforts me,
More than anyone could—
Despite his ever changing attitude,
His presence always does me good.
