The area was filled with gloom.
Tears erupting and cascading to the ground.
Loss stole all the air and suffocated the room.
There was barely any light found.
I seemed to be lost child like a kid in a maze.
Searching and longing for the end.
Maybe it was all just a phase.
In the end I couldn’t comprehend.
There wasn’t a thing I could say.
She left a smile on every ones face.
Nobody wanted to see her go away.
We all sang “Amazing Grace.”
The salt from the sea were in our tears.
Drip. Drip. Drip.
Death was delivering fears.
The gravestone would yell R.I.P.
Her thoughts were the definition of fun.
I remember seeing her last smile.
Forced to say goodbye to her daughter and son.
Her memory locked in file.
Her elegance made you think of a dancer.
The news was unsettling to my belly.
For she became a victim of cancer.
Recalling the words: “In loving memory of Kelly.”
