Death's at your door
The doorbell’s sharp ding pierces the veil
Of silence from which you hail
Darkness shrouds the home
But light cleaves through to be shone
Here comes the man in black
Here to take you, take you back
You attempt to lie concealed
For this is no battlefield
Perhaps he is not here for you
But chances are he’ll take you too
Shall you sacrifice your life for your wife?
Cause her all the pain and strife?
To open the door and strike him down
Would leave you to seem like a clown
Though the Reaper this man may seem
Tonight it’s only Halloween
